The internationally recognized pearl of Bulgarian beer industry in socialism – Astika – ever since it was launched during 1980 has quickly become the favorite beer of many Bulgarians. And this is not a coincidence – the success of the brand has been predestined by its name. The name of the beer Astika comes from the name of a tribe that used to inhabit the luxuriant Thracian lands. The unique taste of Astika is a result of the combination of high quality malt and crystal clear water from the lands of the ancient Thracians – the secret prerequisites for the amber color and its thick foam.
